This intimate exhibition and talk utilising a genuine Victorian Magic Lantern will take place in a private room at The Black Bull. Images included will be drawn from the archive of a local collector and enthusiast, Rod Jewell from Staithes. The Magic Lantern display will include unpublished and unique images from Staithes, Runswick, Hinderwell, Sandsend and Whitby areas dating from 1890 to 1920. There will also be the chance to view (and purchase) various prints and books. All funds raised from ticket sales will go towards supporting the work of St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough. The ticket price is £2.00 plus Eventbrites commission.
